On the 21st of December 2018, The Strandingsmuseum St. George held their Winter Solstice party, with a great many people gathered in the Strandingsmuseum restaurant.
During the event, Sea War Museum's Director and JDC Director of Special Projects, Gert Normann Andersen was appointed an honorary membership for his work on the excavations of the wreck of St. George and his many years of work for the Strandingsmuseum St. George.
Gert Normann was very happy and honoured by the appointment. He held a little speech about the various discoveries and excavations over the years and subsequently answered questions.
