Profile
JD-Contractor A/S is situated in Holstebro, Denmark
and was founded in 1972 by Gert Normann who is still managing director
of the firm. The company is one of the very few in Scandinavia with
technical know-how and specialist equipment for a wide range of
submarine activities.
The laying out and embedding of submarine cables
and pipelines are our main activities. What we can offer is not
only a profound knowledge but also a leading expertise within this
field. When given an assignment, we use our unique embedding machines,
developed by and for JD-Contractor A/S. The continual developing
and modifying of existing embedding machines is one of the reasons
why we have obtained a leading position regarding quality and safety.
We have also obtained significant experience in
regard to inspections of wrecks and environmental sampling. Our
inspections division, certified by Lloyds, presently carries out
numerous inspections of waste water outlets as well as inspections
of ships and shipwrecks.
The use of ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles or
submarine robots) is rapidly increasing. It has become more and
more widespread as submarine robots submerge to greater depths and
have unlimited divetime. JD-Contractor A/S has two updated ROVs,
offering a wide range of tools and various measuring instruments.
We also have a variety of other diving assignments.
For almost 40 years, we have carried out numerous contracts for
harbours, shipping companies, insurance companies and other contractors.
JD-Contractor A/S does not only work in Danish
waters but also holds contracts with large specialized businesses
abroad. An excellent network of international partners means that
we are able to offer subcontracts as well as full contracts both
at home and abroad.
Our offices, workshops and equipment are placed
together in an industrial area. This makes our services fast and
effective.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require
any further information.
